DNA Mens Breakfast gift

A wonderful gesture by some men from Colchester at their breakfast gathering raised £93.15 which will go towards the Kigli Kids project on 12/05/07.

It is estimated that another £450 (£400 was sent last month) will be needed to cover the 19 Primary and 23 Secondary school Childrens fees for this term.

A Big Thank you to the men at the DNA Men's Breakfast for their gift

2nd Term Gift to Kigali Kids

Feedback from Burning Bush Church for the £400 sent in May. Although the gift doesn't cover the entire school fees the headmasters have allowed the children to attend the 2nd term with the condition that the fee would be paid soon.

Dear brother Rev.David

I greet you in the name of Jesus-Christ
I send to you the report of the distribution of the money sent. I gave advances of the school fees to be given to the schools and I gave to each orphan a letter to be given to the headmaster of his school to ask them for forgiveness on the delay of payment of the school fees. We continue to pray for you and your Church. We believe that God will do something for the orphans.

May God bless you and your family

Yours
Pastor Egide

Dear brother Enoch KUNARAJAH

I greet you in the name of Jesus-ChristThank you for the pack of pens and pencils that you had sent to the orphans and to the poor kids of my church. We had distributed these pens and pencils this Sunday and I send to you the photographs taken .
The children were happy because these pens and pencils show to the children that you occupy yourselves seriously of their problem and they have much hope that God will help you to find to them the school fees of 2nd term at the end of this month because the first term will take end the 30/03/2007 and the second term will start on the 24/04/2007.

All members of my Church pray for you, the Church of Rev.David and his family so that God continues to help you to find this helped.
Greetings to your family.

Yours in Jesus-Christ

Chinese Christian Fellowship Film Evening

University of Essex CCF raised £70 for Kigali Kids Project.
The evening was attended by around 20 students who watched the film, 'Shooting Dogs' and discussed about the three characters in the film.

Kigali Kids Project would like to thank CCF for the generous gift, prayers and concern in supporting the kids in Kigali to go back to school.

It is planned to send this gift plus other financial gifts to the Burning Bush Church around Easter time. We invite friends and supporters of this project to help us in prayer, financial giving or fundraising through organising various events.
The 'Shooting Dogs' film is available to any group if they wish to borrow. Please contact us.

Kigali Kids...Back to School

Thanks to many wonderful and generous givers as we have been able to send the first sum of funds to Kigali in January.

  • School reopened in Rwanda on 8th January 2007.
  • DNA Networks, Colchester transferred £1330 ($2500.60) to the Burning Bush Church, Kigali on 5th January 2007 through Western Union.
(There was a transfer charge of £30 incurred for this amount)
  • Most of the funds were from the collection taken at DNA Networks Carol Service and Christmas Service
The money has been utilised to pay the school fees and many of the children are back at school in 2007. We hope to receive a full report next week from Pastor Egide Murekezi, Leader of the Burning Bush Church in Kigali and it will be published on this page. (Check also current Funds Position by clicking the left side-bar link and download the details)

Please contact us if you wish to organise an event to raise funds for all the children and young people at the Burning Bush Church to go back into education in 2007...
More funds are needed (approx £4200) to cover all the children and young people for the whole year (check sponsorship details for primary, secondary and university level)

Next Event: 26/01/07 Essex University Chinese Christian Fellowship (Shooting Dogs Film Evening)
